Re: Community Chat Chit-Chat thread!

I had a very uninteresting roast beef sandwich for lunch and now I'd like to chit-chat about my new coffee maker.  It is called the Touch Brewer (model T526S) and I am thrilled with it.

It is a single serve brewer that does not rely on Keurig technology, makes a hotter cup of coffee and looks sleeker.  Pricey but IMO well worth it.  Nothing like a "good cup of coffee" to start the day or end a meal.

ohh, marp that sounds interesting!  I use a french press as I don't need a huge coffee maker.  Do you have to use k-cups?  or can you "make" your own?  Some brewers have reusable "cups" that you fill with coffee instead of using the k-cups.

That sounds delicious Brii. I love those kind of salads. If I wasn't so lazy I'd run out and get the fixings for dinner. I'll have to settle for a pasta with home made pesto.

I love pesto!

I'm making penne pasta with vodka sauce for dinner.

Yummm.  I love penne with vodka sauce.  I love vodka sauce on any pasta.

I love vodka.

I guess I should add my lunch wasn't as gross as I thought it would be.  I had a new Weight Watchers entree that was bacon macaroni and cheese.  Then I sliced up cucumber and had a big glass of water.

I have chicken marinating in honey teriyaki sauce right now and that will be for dinner.  Not sure what I'll make with that yet.

Re: Community Chat Chit-Chat thread!

It's shortly after 1pm and I finally got around to lunch.

So exciting (not!!).  I'm having a small chicken burger pattie, that I cooked in my contact grill, with a little bit of Monterey Jack cheese on top.

I've had the regular mac N cheese and it was gross.  So gross I couldn't even finish it.  I didn't have high hopes for this but was pleasantly surprised.

Hey Noel!  Sounds great - well, except for the 'egg' part.  Smiley Happy

I've not tried white tea.  I do love tea but I cannot drink warm/hot beverages when the weather isn't cold, or I'm sick.   I kind of miss it but I found that making iced tea with decaf Lipton bags that I use is not good at all.  Smiley Happy

I also love English Breakfast tea but I haven't had that in years.  Now that I need to avoid caffeine, I haven't tried a caffeine-free version.  One of these days I'll check that out.

Happy day!  Heart

With this brewer you can use any k-cup or k-cup/my k-cup substitute like the solo.  This is the top of the line model and comes with a my k-cup like holder for using your own coffee or for making a 26 oz. carafe (also included) of your own coffee.  It is even quieter than the Keurig, the coffee is hotter and the brewing technology extracts more coffee flavor from the grounds.

I can make 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 or 18 ounce cups or the included "refill jumbo cup" for brewing a carafe.  This company really thought things through.  So pleased.
