We've had some good discussions going, everyone has played nice and suddenly the "commenting period" has ended? What's with this? Perhaps someone needs to tell us how long the commenting period is. Maybe someone needs to end it on the Fiesta buyer's thread or Pancake's?

I don't understand why they have closed some threads. ????? Depends on the web person I guess at the time. Amazing what they keep and what they discard.

Don't understand it either.Seems random. What I don't like is they close the thread & take out some posts & leave others. All I did was agree w a post on the cigarettes thread & didn't say anything against standards but my posts gone but the one i agreed w is still there.

One was getting political, that is probably what closed it.

Don't pick on the Pancake thread! Wink {#emotions_dlg.lol} I think it's pretty certain that the Pancake thread will never get controversial, so I feel the moderators will leave that alone. They've tried deleting it in the past and restored it after many complaints.

I'm not familiar with the Fiesta thread, but I suspect it's merely a group of like-minded Fiesta lovers that like to check in with each other every day.

Gosh there have been all kinds of fun, non controversial threads deleted- no disrespect to the Pancake or other thread but what makes them so different? And please people don't throw stones at me for asking an honest question.

Pancake has been deleted several times, but after so many posters complained each time, I feel that it went on the 'do not delete' list.

If there's a thread that you feel should be around indefinitely, write to the social media team and request that they keep it up. It was probably a simple act of housecleaning.

Thanks, Topaz. I was only asking a general question not about any certain one thread that was deleted. Am sure whomever is in charge has their reasons.

I don't know the latest thread that was locked. I'd' like to add that I have no problem with discussing suicide because it is an important social issue.

I do have a problem with the unnecessary salacious last 7 words in the topic title re the designer's suicide. My eyes glance over it but still it is jarring. It's not that I want the thread deleted, I just wish posters would be more considerate.

Really, what IS the primary topic there? A famous designer now dead?, that she had a famous boyfriend?, suicide?, or her method? Could the OP not allow those interested to click in without causing a mental vision of it every time they see the topic?
