Southern WV had a downpour around 11:00 this morning, and the rain has just started again; very steady shower falling right now.  

Rain is in our forecast every day this week thru Saturday, with 70-100% chance.  No 80 degree temperatures for us this week.   Rain has been plentiful all summer, so we are lush and green; our streams and rivers are full.  

Our low lying areas will experience the usual high water issues after only a couple of days of this much rain.   

I personally am not complaining about our sun, heat, or rain; really love WV summers.

We went from 100° the past week to 90° today and all this week with the return of the seasonal monsoon.  However, the rain is spotty and comes down somewhere but rarely at my house.  Rained here nicely early in the morning of June 22, and that's been it.  We get the humidity from the rains though.  Some chance of rain everyday this week.

I'm in Pa. and we had a heavy rain for about 2 minutes. Sun out and still hot.We need the rain. Grass is crunchy. Supposed to have lower dew points tomorrow, then back up again.

Here in Virginia at around 4:30 this afternoon we received a very severe thunderstorm.  Lots of lighting and earth shattering thunder.  Our power was out, thankfully, for only an hour and a half.  Amid all the commotion we also experienced heavy rain.  Every cloud has a silver lining - temperatures dropped from the middle 90's with high humidity to the middle 70's.  Rain forecast for tomorrow afternoon and temperatures will only be in the 80's for the rest of the week. This summer it seems we have had more thunderstorms than usual and more are scheduled to be coming our way.  One day at a time and soon it will be autumn!

I live in the high desert of the southwest, Monsoon season is here! Finally! Yesterday rains filled the local washes and this morning we had light rain for about 5 hours. It doesn't take much to get green again! Rain in the forecast all week.

That's what I love about a good rain in the thick heat of Summer.  The Temperature drop!  

I'm familiar with Virginia storms in the Summer.  Mother nature does not play @sugarbee .

LOL at it comes down somewhere, but not at your house.  I have seen that happen.  Rain on one side of a street while it does not rain on the other.  If you want rain, I hope you get some soon @Kachina624  (on your house).
