About 2 weeks ago, a lot of my channels suddenly were in Spanish---it was funny to hear Cary Grant making love to Grace Kelly in Spanish in another man's voice. When I finally got through on the phone (about a 15 minute wait) the rep told me it had to do with some new software they had installed and he walked me through the procedures to fix it using the setup tab. I know I had to turn off the TV and turn it back on to take effect. I guess everyone was calling about the same thing.

Thanks dooBdoo for the information. I was reading posts on the Comcast forum that some form of discounts may be offered. In our situation, we experienced only occasional outages. It was the mainly that our settings and functions for the TV were wacky. Still not positive it is back to normal. Thanks for posting the links.

You're welcome, Allegheny. I know how frustrating it can be.

Every once in a while on certain channels, I get all the stage directions spoken after the actors say their lines. Sheldon will say, "Bazinga!" Then the voice says, "He moves to the kitchen and opens the refrigerator." It's annoying, but I can't get it to stop until Comcast wills it. What's that about???

-To RainCityGirl - Hope you see this - I was getting narration also on some channels and this will clear that up also. This is what the rep told me to do - go to Main Menu - select Set Up - then select Audio Set Up - then select Descriptive Video Service. Make sure this says ""Off"". I then turned off the TV and turned it back on and all problems solved.

Thanks. I'll try that next time it happens, though in the past, it has gone away on its own.
