Anyone having problems with their Comcast Xfinity?

I don't know if you are talking about QVC on Comcast (seems to be a problem with that) of Comcast in general. But I have Xfinity X1 Platform and it is awful. Picture was out Sunday for a few hours and the screen says they are having trouble connecting to the Platform. Yesterday I had trouble all afternoon and evening - when the picture came back on, you could not change the channell. If you have that X1 Platform it is TERRIBLE!!!! I am calling Comcast today and telling them I don't want the X1 Platform and want the regular old cable box. Not even sure why I have this particular Platform system - I did not order it but that is what they installed when I moved last year.

Only with QVC being off the air. All the other channels work just fine.

Hi naturalfan,

Yes, I am talking about the same issues you are having. We just got Comcast installed about 3 months ago, so I am sure we have the X1 Platform. These past couple of days have been the first time we experienced problems. I went on their forum support and it seems multiple people are having issues.

We are having problems with the On Demand functions, deleting watched programs, the mini guide doesn't show up any more. DH keeps insisting it is the DVR box, but I think there are universal problems nationwide.

Good luck with trying to contact them, I read that some people on are on hold for hours.

I sure hope this get resolved, my husband's blood pressure is rising.

no problems other than the qvc channel not working.

your box may be bad and need to be exchanged or they may have to do a signal refresh.

Hi Allegheny -

When I finally got on the phone with Comcast yesterday, the rep said it was my cable box and it would have to be replaced. That's not it though - as you have said, there were/are nationwide problems with the system. I actually got through a second time reporting that I could not change the channels and that rep told me they knew about the problem and customers would receive a rebate on the next bill. Guess we will have to wait and see.

We've had the X1 Platform for about 6 months. It has never worked properly, but the past couple of weeks have been HORRIBLE. When I call Comcast, I get some useless CS rep in a foreign country who keeps telling me to exchange my box. I keep telling them it's not the box.

We're having problems with functions not working, on an intermittent basis. And, also with shows not recording, that are set to record. Last night, I was trying to watch a movie and the screen kept going black.

When our current deal "expires" in a few months, I was thinking about dropping the X1 platform. But, I think they are moving all of their customers to that eventually.

Yes, same here. As I said we just got Comcast and are newbees to cable. We have always been with DISH, because cable wasn't available to us until recently. We have issues also with their voice system blinking that we have a missed call. There is no call there and can't clear the signal. We found a temporary fix for that. Husband has chatted with them, and told them he feels it is the DVR box and he wanted it replaced (they already had to replace the HD box in the bedroom about 2 months ago). Anyway the rep said they are having software issues with the X1 Platform and asked us to hang on until those were resolved before having a service person come out.

After our two years are up, we may go back to DISH and revert back to our local phone company, but keep Comcast for internet.

On and off I have problems with On Demand. Sometimes in the wee hours of the morning I get snow and no cable at all. I assume they are doing something to it because it's always back when I get up in the morning.
