I wouldnt go with any tv internet service for cell coverage.  Very spotty if you need large areas od phone service where comcast is not a thing.  Although they use diffrent companies cell towers, its very frustrating.  I have had Consumer Cellular for about 10 years and love them.  No dropped calls and I travel quiet a bit.  Very very reasonable prices for whatever you need.  Check them out.

Whatever you do, stay away from Spectrum for mobile phone, internet or anything.  They are theiving b*#&@#ds.  And they lie about coverage.  I switched my mobile service to them and was supposed to have it "forever" for $ 29.99 a month, all included.  They have recently uped it to $ 40.00 a month and told me "gee, you didn't read the fine print; we can change it whenever we want". And the internet is a whole other cluster................

That sure sounds like "bait and switch" it might be worth your while to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. You can do it online

OR .....

File an FCC Complaint online: Many users reporting this issue have successfully filed complaints with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) or Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regarding deceptive billing.

Contact State Consumer Protection: File a complaint with your state's Attorney General’s office.

@Spurt  Why would it be "bait & switch" if the person did not read the fine print where it mentions "we can change it whenever we want" therefore, voiding the "forever?"

We are switching to Verizon, but I'm not sure that's the best choice.

The final straw was when I started getting "preferred customer" banners on their site. I called about it. The representative said it was for longtime customers. We've been with them 30 years. She told me she wasn't sure how preferred customers were selected, but we were not.

Verizon came in about $200 less expensive, but I've been hearing horror stories about them too. They adjusted our plan, so we'll see.  Smiley Frustrated

I am currently a preferred customer w/Verizon.  Been w/them for 30+ years & NEVER late w/paying a bill.  Always paid early.

I have a landline phone - no bill in 30+ years

Internet - FREE!

YouTubeTV through Verizon - $65.00 Base Plan.  Currently paying $55 through YTTV for their "just because" discount.

Except for YTTV, I received the same discounts w/Comcast as a preferred customer since day one because I was an "early" customer, never paid a bill late & paid bill early.

@Mz iMac

Spectrum is currently facing a class-action lawsuit for allegedly misleading customers regarding its recent Free Internet Forever marketing campaign

This is what the terms say:

FREE INTERNET FOREVER: Limited time offer; subject to change; new residential customers only (no Spectrum services within past 30 days) and in good standing with Spectrum. Taxes and fees extra in select state. All services must be ordered on same day. Internet speeds based on wired connection. Actual speeds (including wireless) vary and are not guaranteed. Offer requires purchase of 4 Unlimited Mobile lines, 2 of which must be ported, and all of which must be maintained to receive free Internet promotion. Smartwatch does not qualify as a line. Mobile requires per line activation fee and Auto Pay. Mobile devices excluded from offer. Tablets not eligible for promotion. Reduced speeds after 30 GB of usage per line (Unlimited) or 50 GB (Unlimited Plus). Services subject to all applicable service terms and conditions, subject to change. Not available in all areas. Restrictions apply.

They are very vague on what  "subject to change" means....so it leaves it open to interpretation ....there must be a "meeting of the minds" under any contract, in this case there's not....

Under the law the initial offer was considered "ingenuine" -- not necessarily forever ( even though it says SUBJECT TO CHANGE the offer was not genuine, it's false, or inauthentic, insincere in behavior or actions) So it qualifies for BAIT AND SWITCH

Wow @Mz iMac - they really like you! We never paid late either, but it might be because we have always had Verizon for cell phones and Comcast/xfinity for everything else. They tried to get us to "bundle," but I didn't want to change because shortly after we moved here, one of those services was out for a week. Because our home phone was Comcast and our cell phones were Verizon, we could connect.

We'll give Verizon a chance and see!  Smiley Happy

I don't know where you live. I am in CA, and there is just  my husband and I. We have 2 iPhone on our cell phone plan with extra data.  Our bill is 175 @@month with tax. My fiends and family say ours is cheap. A family of 5 around here  usually pays 400-700@mo

how does one get phone bills tht low. We are 78 and use for some calls.  I only use internet on my phone when I am out of house.

We've had Xfinity Mobile for over 8 years, and pay under $30/mo for two lines. We're on the original By the Gig plan since we don't need unlimited data. They use Verizon towers. I've never had coverage issues, even when traveling.
