sounds like a lot of people are becoming big coloring book fans!

I was hoping it would be a new set, not just an additional book But it is still a great deal for those who haven't purchased it yet.

What's nice about the ones on the 'other' channel is that the back of each page is blank. That way, we can display each one (frame them or whatever). (I'm not crazy about the front to back ones.)

What's nice is that we can watch TV and color at the same time! (What a genius statement) (lol in a nice way)

My adult daughter loves to color! I always bought her a children's coloring book and crayons for her birthday and Christmas. On her last birthday she received one of the coloring books for adults from another family member. It's beautiful! I am going to get one for myself!

Someone mentioned the fine detail and intricate drawings that can be hard on the eyes. I have only seen one book at B&N that would be easy on the eyes. Plus fine detail would be hard to use watercolors, e.g., imo.
It's trendy, it sells right now.
I color with grandchilren so I prefer Snoopy themed books. LOL

some benefits to coloring and how it is trending in the world.....
The practice generates wellness, quietness and also stimulates brain areas related to motor skills, the senses and creativity.

@docsgirl wrote:If you have Michaels near you, check out their coloring books. They have quite a variety and there is always a coupon for 40% or 50% off. Also, you don't have to pay for shipping. Hobby Lobby and Joann's probably carry them, also. Enjoy!

Michaels also has a senior discount for anyone age 50 & over. I usually just ask "does this purchase qualify for the senior discount?" I found out about on their website, but they ddon't seem to openly promote it for some reason.

I can't believe that I am seeing this thread tonight!...It just so happens that I stopped off at Barnes & Noble after work today to get a book by Nicholas Sparks and, as I was browsing around, I spotted a table full of these "Color Me" books...all various themes...and I ended up buying one..."Color Me Calm".
My brother was a wonderful artist and I have no artistic ability whatsoever...I thought to myself how he would get a kick out of me buying this and how wonderful it would have been if we were able to get together and, while he worked on one of his beautiful paintings, I could be enjoying my coloring book!...LOL...He was 15 years older than me and felt it his responsiblity to fill the role of a father figure also...We lost him much too soon...I like to think that, perhaps, it can still be our special time together spiritually!
It really can be a great way for people/families to connect with each other in this chaotic, complicated, technical world that we find ourselves in, as well as just enjoying quiet time by ourselves through our coloring!...I can't wait to get started!
Thanks for starting this thread!
