@rockygems123   Thank goodness it's gone!  I know that picture sure looks a lot different than the one posted the other day!  I'll bet your more than ready for spring.💝

@cheriere

Yes Spring beckons lol!  Growing up in SF with essentially fog and more fog for the weather, it is so refreshing living here in CO with 4 seasons.  Actually love every one of them.

Family drove from Steamboat to Amarillo yesterday.

Said most of the snow was around Colorado Springs.

Interstate clear but tunnel was slow.

Don't think the Denver Airport ever closed.

@granddi

There were about 800 maybe close to 1000 flights canceled at DIA but they were diligent with getting back on track, was quite surprised actually.

We're about 1 hour north of Colorado Springs with a bit more than a foot, lots of snow in the foothills, Golden had 29", Conifer had 36".

It's not over for me yet. Still got a lot of snow to move and I'm here alone to do it. There's a mountain of snow on my deck. Most will melt in the next few days but there's so much of it that it's going to take forever to disappear. TG there's no more snow in the forecast.

The city road crew is having a difficult time with dealing with the amount of snow to move and where to pile it. It was a record-breaking amount!

@SilleeMee

If we lived closer I'd come help.  Wish you had some local kids to pitch in.

@rockygems123   Y'all must have had a few days of excitement watching it come down.  Now life can go on.  More water is always good in the West.

Have to say it was pretty stressful when they said we'd get double snow essentially.  Pffft not even close, maybe 2 inches.

Made me get out and shovel the 1st day so that was a lesson.

And yep now life can go on.  More peacefully so ha.

@SilleeMee    I'm so sorry.  Shoveling snow is the worst!  I can't even imagine what it would be like to try and remove that much either.  Please be careful doing this.  I hear and read about so many people, even super young and athletic who've ended up in the hospital whether it be from falling or just overdoing it.  It might be easier just to wait until more of it melts down if you can.  That's what I'd do. ❤️❤️❤️

@cheriere

They call heavy spring snow widow makers.  A suggestion is to take an aspirin before shoveling.  I didn't have any and knowing that ibuprofen doesn't have the blood thinner properties of aspirin I took one anyway.

I'll get some aspirin but I liked the ibuprofen effect.  No sore anything when all said and done.

@rockygems123    I know what you mean about getting to experience all four seasons.  I get them too, but sometimes take them for granted since I've never lived anywhere that didn't have them.  I guess sometimes I've dreamed about living somewhere like California where it's always nice and warm.  Plus, I've never been to San Francisco, but I've always wanted to go.

Im glad though to know you're snow will soon be gone and spring will be there.  I thing springtime is my favorite of all the seasons.  It feels new and full of possibilities.💝

Noooooo don't go haha!  Hope not offending anyone but as a native San Franciscan my friends won't even let me go to the city when I visit.

Monterey, Napa Valley, sort of OK to go.  Thought it would be alright in Sacramento and the foothills of the Sierra's,  Placerville, which is on the way to Lake Tahoe.  Was SO sad to see what has happened.

Nice you have the four seasons, it's always something fun to anticipate.

I had my suspicions that planning a trip there right now would probably not be the best idea.  I really hate to hear that too.  Somme friends of mine went about nine years ago, but they were on a road trip through the entire western states.  They didn't stay in SF but one night.

Thats so crazy about having to take an aspirin.  I'd never have known that.  But it makes perfect sense when I think about it.
