All or a lot of that messy heavy over a foot of snow 2 days ago has melted and left lots of water for the plants. For most of us here in Colorado including @SilleeMee, 14" if I calculate correctly it was a lot of heavy lifting but well worth it.
Today's same view as the snow day. 47 degrees and sunny with 60's coming this week.
Love this weather ![]()

@rockygems123 Thank goodness it's gone! I know that picture sure looks a lot different than the one posted the other day! I'll bet your more than ready for spring.💝

Family drove from Steamboat to Amarillo yesterday.
Said most of the snow was around Colorado Springs.
Interstate clear but tunnel was slow.
Don't think the Denver Airport ever closed.

It's not over for me yet. Still got a lot of snow to move and I'm here alone to do it. There's a mountain of snow on my deck. Most will melt in the next few days but there's so much of it that it's going to take forever to disappear. TG there's no more snow in the forecast.
The city road crew is having a difficult time with dealing with the amount of snow to move and where to pile it. It was a record-breaking amount!

@rockygems123 Y'all must have had a few days of excitement watching it come down. Now life can go on. More water is always good in the West.

I don't know where this was taken but I'm impressed.

@SilleeMee I'm so sorry. Shoveling snow is the worst! I can't even imagine what it would be like to try and remove that much either. Please be careful doing this. I hear and read about so many people, even super young and athletic who've ended up in the hospital whether it be from falling or just overdoing it. It might be easier just to wait until more of it melts down if you can. That's what I'd do. ❤️❤️❤️

Good idea to just wait for the snow to melt away. I couldn't do much right now anyways b/c what I shovelled for two days in a row just about killed me. My arms feel like jello ...lol!.. and I'm in good physical shape, too. But also, I did take it slow and that helped.

@SilleeMee I know if it were me I sure would. I'd be killed trying to shovel the kind of snow you all get out there.
A few years ago, I had the bright idea of cleaning the decks and opening the pool myself instead of having the guys from a local company come out and do it. Oh my Goodness! I was destroyed for at least three days afterwards. Every muscle and bit of fat in my body ached! Watching the two of them it didn't look so hard. Boy was I wrong! I'll never make that mistake again lol.

In 2006, we had a rare storm that dumped about 14". All the men in the neighborhood were out shoveling driveways. I don't shovel. My SUV was in the garage. It's AWD so I just got in it, put it in reverse and away I went without a bit of trouble. By the next day most of the snow was gone. It just evaporates here.
