T-shirts emphasize large bellies and posteriors.
But the same can be said for any person of any age and any type of clothing. It's about finding the cut that works best for you. So many options to choose from.

The men wore jackets and ties. You must have worked at Tx. A&M.I just retired but I was working for the state, no dress code, I could wear jeans, summer dresses, ankle pants. The few dress clothes I have are 3 suits and a few dresses that I do wear on occasion. I still go shopping and I tend to buy summer dresses and walking shorts with nice tops. And I just bought new wedge sandals and a new pair of Ariat cowboy boots, living in Texas, we wear them with dresses and jeans.

I am in my sixties, still working full time and enjoy it. I have no intention of retiring. On the upside, the company I work has a business casual dress code....no jeans, t-shirts, mini skirts or cold shouder tops. This all works for me.....I am a trouser gal......and my whole wardrobe is worked around black and navy, with a little gray and brown, with pops of color, pretty jewelry and shoes and bags. I can interchange my clothes for work to clothes for other things. I do have some super dressy trousers and tops for the occasional special doings......but DH and I.....our lives can work with a business casual type of dressing.

We have pared down our clothing now that we really don't travel much or entertain anymore. Gone are the days of the military balls and the like. Although we do have some ""fancy get ups"" for those occasions.
Most of my days I spend in loungewear or a simple cotton t-shirt dress. I can't leave my house without earrings either. LOL

There isn't a pair of jeans in the world no matter the cut that looks good on a plus sized woman. No t-shirt is attractive worn by someone with large saggy breasts. Add embellishments and it qualifies as an eyesore.

I did not make any reference to anyone staying working. I enjoy working, enjoy the challenge and I like the money that comes with it..... and staying working is my decision. What the next person decides to do......it's their business.
