Climate Change and the next generation

Tonight on the CBS news they made a connection between the loss of 300,000 square miles of ice/snow in the polar regions meaning it's less bright, thereby reflecting less sunlight and resulting in a higher temperature by a few degrees. It's enough to impact the jet stream into its current pattern which is extra wavy. That new jet stream pattern is the cause of the current weather patterns that are causing droughts in the west and all the storms and cold in the med west and east.

So, to me, climate change is real. Thru all this, I wonder how some folks can claim to care so much about saddling our next generations with debt, but turn a blind eye to our negative impact on the environment. It bugs me when people look at the temperatures we're experiencing and just laugh it off as if the warming of our globe doesn't exist. So stupid IMO and short sighted.

They say the number of 90degree summer days in NYC is expected to increase by 30% by 2050.

What do you think?

I think the anti-science crowd is winning.

When Meet the Press has a ""debate"" on whether climate change is real - we are all in trouble!!!

I worry about that then I wonder what is the point. Worry won't stop the melting. I would not know how to advise my grandkids on where to live where they and their offspring will find clean water, air, and a moderate climate to be the norm.

Those who ridicule are avoiding. They don't know what to do either. The one thing for a fact is we are all in this change together even though the forces of change affect different areas differently.

Next we'll have a debate whether the earth really does revolve around the sun, or the other way around.
