If you go by the definition of violence,

"behavior involving physical force intended to hurt, damage, or kill someone or something"

then Throwing rocks at someone is being violent, even if they started it, even if they are a "bad" guy. We don't get to pick and choose what it is, just because we feel we are in the right.

by the way, these are not my feelings...I'm simply playing devils advocate

Thought and prayers are all well and good, but it is long past time for talking  ,we need action..How many more children have to die while people are discussing things?

Carmie  is able to take care of herself. I have heard it many times before...I am not stupid

Imagine how the parents of murdered children feel. I imagine they are worse than dumbstruck

@cherry

You know good and well that it wasn't a joke about children being murdered at school, it was about whether a box of rocks could change the outcome, IMO that's the joke.

See how ridiculous that sounds?

Arming teachers as said by many teachers is a bad idea. By the time the teacher unlocks the gun from the drawer, inserts the bullets, the entire class is dead from the assault weapon used by the gunman.

Assault weapons do not belong in the hands of citizens, period.

There are places were teachers carry the gun on them at all times, not locked in a drawer. Any gun can kill a vast number of people, not just assault weapons (I'm assuming you mean semi automatic and automatic rifles?) if the shooter is left unemcumbered to reload.

Rocks vs firearm.  Doesn't seem equal.
