Hi,
Maybe some of you can help me with a problem I have ALWAYS had when it comes to speaking in a foreign language class.
Even as a youngster, I could never speak in class, only in foreign language, I never liked the artificiality of the questions, or their bizarre intrusiveness, or the fact that you were usually giving the wrong impression about something.
My brain freezes, I stutter, cannot remember anything but a few words.
BUT, even today, I went out and spoke to a young woman in her own native tongue. The same thing happened to me when I moved to Europe when I was a kid, I spoke my torturously learned foreign language perfectly within two weeks, prior in class, the same excruciating communication problem.
If anyone has opinions, ideas, or care to share their own stories with this I would be very grateful.
Thank you all for any responses.
