Chumlee. . . .

I don't know exactly how to word this so I don't offend someone here. Has Chumlee (on Hardcore Pawn) had some brain damage or such? Can't tell sometimes if the one- or two-word comments he makes are just kidding or if that's really how his mind works. I saw him recently get taught what constitutes a real etching, held my breath while they tested him, and he did pass. I think he's a darling guy, but I don't understand why the owners say such mean things to him now and then.
