I was at the mall yesterday. Crate & Barrel has trees up and ornaments for sale.

Pottery Barn and Williams-Sonoma still had Fall and Thanksgiving items prominently featured.

the holiday's STILL hold lots of magic and excitement to me.

i don't give people or companies that kind of power over me. Jesus is the reason for the season!! the decor is just ""stuff""! i don't even ""see it"" until i am ready to deal with it.

The true reason for the season, is the season itself. Emotion will step in here, and claim blasphemy. But it is true--don't you research what you celebrate? It is the winter solstice which is the reason for the season and all the celebratory put-togethers are as well. If one truly wants to know the truth, I mean, not the emotional support of "but traditionally we've always done this" brainwashing, but the factual truth of the matter, you would finally get it…research it.

You will find the purest part of being with cheer is that cheer should be a daily event…give cheer daily, not once-a-year through myopically based "but it's always been that way" thinking (which isn't thinking at all, it is simply following blindly).

The last store I visited had the Halloween and Christmas decorations side by side. They get me by doing that. I'm a sucker for Fall and Christmas decorations.

I can see why Q does this. They're in full.holiday mode now. After Thanksgiving, I think.their sales might start slowing down. Even though they have "last minute gifts" It's really.more practical to.shop with them earlier. So they only have a good six weeks to get it in.

The local Hallmark store here has had their trees up since July.
