Re: Christmas Shopping Locally

I would rather buy locally, but I have a very large family and I would need to be out all day for weeks finding items they particularly like. Years ago, I asked all children, their spouses, grandchildren, other family member that I draw names with to do an Amazon list. Many keep a list running throughout the year and I know sizes, specialty items from other stores that can be put on Amazon by using their Universal store list. Also, I've had a QVC wish list forwarded to me. I just click, click on each list and items are at my home mostly within 2 days, but some take longer.

We all make long list and mostly forget what everyone wished by Christmas, birthdays and are thrilled. No need to do any returns. College children love this as well as the little ones. I like to purchase exactly what everyone wants, needs. I don't like to select things randomly throughout the year unless I'm sure the item is truly wanted and geared to most needed wanted items.

Re: Christmas Shopping Locally

We only have Wal-Mart, so I can't only shop locally. I'm not one of those who hate Walmart....but they don't have everything I want for gifts.

Re: Christmas Shopping Locally

I enjoy supporting our local businesses, we have great stores for wine, cheese, candy, and many other things. I also like to shop our local art fairs. I truly wish more people felt the same way.
