Happy Saturday everyone. I find myself purchasing more gifts locally this year. A few years ago I purchased most of my gifts from the Q, especially for my grand kids. This year I purchased a couple NFL items from HSN for my son and daughter in law. But I am shopping locally. What about you?

A little of everything for me, some internet, some QVC, some local. Isn't this what most people do?

I'm gifting treats from my kitchen, so that's about as local as it gets for me.

Yes, locally for me too. Though some things have been bought on line, this is the first year since I discovered QVC that virtually nothing is being bought here. Candidly speaking, they just don't seem to offer much I want to give at prices I want to pay anymore. The variety has just gotten to be awful and the selection too limited. They've been pushing Christmas now since July and yet they continue presenting the same things, many of them retreads from years ago. I tend to shop for gifts throughout the year, which works well for me.

Most of my gifts are always bought locally. It's just easier to return or exchange.
Some things I get online, but a very small percentage.

Shopping locally means Walmart. Not opposed to Walmart, but it just doesn't always have what I want.

No, I'm looking for value for my money and a wide range of choices and I like having things delivered to my door. Not to say that I might not pick up an item or two locally, if I see something I like. I will do most, if not all, of my holiday shopping online. Amazon and Qvc.com are my favorite online retailers.

Amazon is my "supplier"--ha, ha.

I would like to shop local, but there are few independent stores. Of the four, two are full of Chinese-made stuff, one has items that I already own in quantity, and the fourth is related to ranching. Not enough to buy with the latter.
Given that I want to buy American, and most of what I want isn't really available locally, that leaves going up to North Carolina or mail order.
In the end, it just isn't doable.
