It's great to see a post from you. I was thinking of you the other week and hoping that all is well.
It's a good reminder to hold on to our loved ones while they are alive, and, if possible, keep those relationships thriving.
I am fortunate to have my loved ones, especially during the holiday season.

Welcome back @SandySparkles ! May you and your family be blessed through the holiday season and beyond. My dear mother who we lost to Covid in 2020 was the glue to my family and cooked the best holiday meals and taught me to cook as well. I pray for all who are struggling and dealing with tough times now. God Bless !

I was an occasional poster in the QVC community, but never really accepted. Yet today I was drawn to the community for a bit of familiarity. Today is my anniversary, I was marrier in 1969, my husband died in 2010. So I hope that my melancoly doesn't damper everyones holiday spirits, I'm just posting because I havn't anyone to talk to tonight. Thanks and happy holidays.

@new nickname 4 , welcome back. I'm sure that anniversary days are very difficult. It was good that you connected again when you felt the impulse.
In case you're interested, I noticed a new(er) widow's thread in the Among Friends forum. It is called "My
Fellow Widows". There may be some support there.
In any event, blessings to you, and hope you find being on the boards to be enhancing, this time around.

So nice to see you again @SandySparkles and @new nickname 4 . I hope you both continue posting on these forums.
Just an idea for those looking for something nice to watch during the holidays that you can find on Youtube... here are two nice suggestions: "Hope of the Season Christmas, Christmas Concert 2024 (with The Tabernacle Choir at Temple Square [formerly known as the Mormon Tabernacle Choir]); and "Mr. Krueger's Christmas" starring Jimmy Stewart. It's only a half hour TV movie from 1980 that Jimmy Stewart starred in. it's a wonderfully heartwarming story.

It is so wonderful to see you!
Do you know the 2 people I've been thinking about most today are my mother and ECBG(Cathy).
Christmas has always been my favorite time of year and it's because of my mother. She had 30 of our family-aunts, uncles, children, grandchildren, great granchildren, nieces and nephews from all across this nation come to dinner and she was the best cook ever. Everything she made was a wonderful memory.
Watching Christmas movies every day make me miss her so much and listening to her favorite Christmas songs but I like to feel her in my heart.
She would sit at the piano and we would sing Christmas Carols from this beautiful Christmas songbook.
Her favorite was "Joy to the World." She made Christmas magical and full of love.
And ECBG, I was watching a new video from Kirsten and Jeorg that she introduced me to and thinking how much she would like it, and thanking her again for this gift.
She was not only a forum friend but outside the forums and we would talk pretty much every day and just share our lives together.
I know I am very lucky to have such a family and friends and I know not everyone does.
I want to say that if anyone is thinking of calling someone to say hi or how are you or just listen, don't wait, and just call even if you don't know what to say. Let them know you are thinking of them.
This time of year brings the spirit of love and hope no matter what religion and we can share that with everyone we meet.
Thank you too @SandySparkles for sharing the memories of your wonderful mom. I bet our mothers would have been fast
friends
@on the bay GMTA!😁 You are so right! ECBG had such a BEAUTIFUL spirit!💝She always appeared to enjoy sharing her fashion sense, cooking prowess, recipes, home decor and so much more!! She was a shining star who radiated kindness; ALWAYS!⭐I miss her radiant smile, and will occasionally think of her precious faithful companion Shadow and the many photos she shared with us.🐕
How WONDERFUL it is to have such TREASURED memories of your dear mother and family! I can only imagine how special it was to have such a loving, LARGE family gathering during the holidays! Those memories are priceless!✨THANK you SO much for sharing them with us!❤️
