I've really curtailed my shopping for Christmas decorations the last few years and have given a lot of things away. Significantly downsized the decorations and ornaments.

But I still like to watch. And I'll take anything that's not a bed, pillow, computer, $400 blender, Dyson, etc.

BUT.... I DO wish that QVC would bring some really nice items in that are different than what they usually show. I feel like they show the same items every year. They get stuck on something like mercury glass spheres and they have everything in mercury glass or spheres.  Too many Bethlehem Loghts. The dreaded Flash Pad.  Maybe if they did, that would pique my interest some.  I might be interested in some higher end things like tree skirts, etc. but not things that I can find at Hobby Lobby or Walmart. They need to branch out more and find more vendors.

I got some of my best deals during CIJ. I used to always ordered 3 of Valerie's fresh wreath that were on special then. The last few years they have gotten too expensive so I ordered 3 decorated and lit ( clear or multi many settings) Bethlehem Lights wreaths. Love them and I have gotten several seasons already. One of my best Q purchases.

I've ordered the mylar bags two years in a row, I love them and they have some for Christmas and some for other holidays.  They come with a bow an make it so easy to "wrap" a gift Smiley Happy

I love those bags TOO! I wish they had a generic set for birthdays.

I won't be buying much this year, but will pick up the 2017 Jim Shore Santa ornament !

@september

I saw one in the Insider but didn't know they were ornaments, thanks for mentioning!  I ordered two last night, one for my daughter  Smiley Happy

@Noel7   They call them ornaments because they have a hanging loop, but they have flat bottoms, are about 4-5" high, and I use them in a display on my mantle top.

I love Jim Shore, I've been collecting his holiday pieces for years.  I got several different holiday minis for DD to rotate on her desk.

I enjoy Jim Shore pieces too...think I have collected about 15. It always amazed me how many new pieces he is able to make each year for all the holidays/seasonal/Disney...seriously! Then in 365 days a year...divide by the # of pieces...maybe 10-15 days for each if he makes abouy 30 new a year...which is about average...my rough guesstimate  Smiley Happy

I dont get the insider and I thought it was free so I dont know why? They stopped sending it over a year? ago. So anyway Im glad I came on here and saw this because i havent been online as much and I havent shopped on here much lately. I love the Christmas shows, so I will check the schedule on here!. Also, I saw when I got on the main page they have a Christmas contest to win prizes, so now i will be coming on daily to enter! lol.

Re: Christmas In July Is Coming

I'm looking forward to it - don't really need anything but still enjoy the shows (most of them!) and sometimes get ideas on how to decorate with what I already have. Come October/November, I certainly hope the shipping container carrying items for Jill's "Holiday's with Jill" show (I believe that's what it's called) will be a success this year. I actually felt sorry for her last year which was a total bust IMO!  I read on these boards that the shipping container did not arrive so she was left with "whatevers"!

Re: Christmas In July Is Coming

Maybe the next month will be Hanukkah in August, but don't hold your breath.

Sometimes I'm able to pick up a few dolls or toys for the granddaughters, but a weekend of wreaths and holiday decorations are a waste for me.

It's beautiful when the mall and city streets are decked out w/ lights and artificial snow...in November, but at the beginning of July? Not so much.

Anyone ready to think about Holiday shopping when sitting in shorts & tank top in front of floor fan?
