The biggest issue I have with x-mas in July on QVC is that it marks the start of the x-mas push on QVC.   From July on, it's full steam ahead with holiday programming, it's not just that they do x-mas in July programming and let the holiday programming drop until the end of September.

That wasn't the case last year.  They only did a couple full days each month after July, and a couple shows smattered throughout the weeks.  It was comprable to what we see with kitchen and food shows, Laura Geller, and other brands you see on QVC on a weekly basis.  Last year was much tamer than in the past.

I would beg to differ with you.  The 25th of every month from then on out will be all day x-mas shows.  There will also be other all day x-mas programs throughout the month as well as other shows being turned into "gift show" like Gifts for the Cook, Jewelry Gifts, Beauty Gifts, etc.

The sets will be decorated and tress will be up in September too.

Anything can be a gift.  We have all day kitchen, apparel, gold and beauty shows on any given day throughout the month.  Whenever I'm flipping through channels and they're selling something that doesn't interest me, I just keep moving.  Seems peculiar how others don't do the same thing.

Re: Christmas In July Is Coming

I am looking forward to CIJ because it's not the run of the mill clothes, beauty, etc.

I received my Insider, and well, I wasn't overwhelmed. It seems it's the same old Bethlehem Lights, Luminara candles, some ornaments, and candles. Sure, Harry is back, and that's nice, but, I'm not jazzed at all about the candles I saw, and the other stuff.

And....I keep having that visual of him posing on the sofa like he's in Playgirl. LOL Weird.

Re: Christmas In July Is Coming

I've really curtailed my shopping for Christmas decorations the last few years and have given a lot of things away. Significantly downsized the decorations and ornaments.

But I still like to watch. And I'll take anything that's not a bed, pillow, computer, $400 blender, Dyson, etc.

BUT.... I DO wish that QVC would bring some really nice items in that are different than what they usually show. I feel like they show the same items every year. They get stuck on something like mercury glass spheres and they have everything in mercury glass or spheres.  Too many Bethlehem Loghts. The dreaded Flash Pad.  Maybe if they did, that would pique my interest some.  I might be interested in some higher end things like tree skirts, etc. but not things that I can find at Hobby Lobby or Walmart. They need to branch out more and find more vendors.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

I saw one in the Insider but didn't know they were ornaments, thanks for mentioning!  I ordered two last night, one for my daughter  Smiley Happy

I got some of my best deals during CIJ. I used to always ordered 3 of Valerie's fresh wreath that were on special then. The last few years they have gotten too expensive so I ordered 3 decorated and lit ( clear or multi many settings) Bethlehem Lights wreaths. Love them and I have gotten several seasons already. One of my best Q purchases.

@wonderfulworld

I've ordered the mylar bags two years in a row, I love them and they have some for Christmas and some for other holidays.  They come with a bow an make it so easy to "wrap" a gift Smiley Happy

@TenderMercies

I thought that was true last year, also.  I noticed it and was glad I shopped during July.

I rarely watch the shows anymore, just pick and choose the Christmas shows to watch.

BUT!  I do scroll through the Shop QVC TV to see what's been on.
