I still send cards and will do so this year. My list has shortened though over the years and it's down to about 25. I think this year, more than ever, it's important to send good wishes. I send cards all year for birthdays, Thanksgiving, Mother's day, etc. The grandkiddies get their own holiday cards, too. I've never known a kid that doesn't like getting mail. It makes them feel special!

Absolutely true! I can tell you that as an only child who continued to have folks include my name on cards sent to my parents well into adulthood and even once I had my own home and address, kids of all ages do very much like to get their own Christmas cards!!

I haven't sent cards in years. Still receive a few and will send a New Year's Wishes card to those. Also, exchange cards in person at work with some people.
I stopped when finances were tight and postage went up!

We all have our own circumstances, don't we? I send a photo card to 10 or so people, mostly family and a few friends. I try to take or "save" a photo that hasn't been posted on social media or sent to people already. I live far from all of my relatives on both sides of the family, and we seldom get together due to the distance. I just think it's nice to connect with everyone during the holiday season, and the cost is really minimal with the small number I send. And, yes, I do send cards (and small gift cards) to young adult nieces and nephews who have grown and flown their parents' nest. I have never had a lot of contact with them, nor have my young adult children (their cousins), so maintaining that connection is particularly important to me.

@OhioAngel I love sending and receiving Christmas cards! I usually spend a half a year picking my cards, but this year Punch Studio had a nice selection on sale early in the new year. We send to friends, relatives and my husband's office co-workers. Recently, I've cut out my husband's nieces and nephews, because we never got cards from them. I think I sent out about 110 cards last year.

Yes, I will absolutely be sending Christmas cards this year!
Anyone who knows me knows I am not a follower, and have no interest in what others do, what's popular, or what's out of style. I do whatever feels like the right thing to do.
I LOVE Christmas cards, and enjoy the reactions and responses from those who receive my cards. My cards and personal handwritten notes have a positive, uplifting impact on my family and friends, so as long as I have a list, and can write, I will be sending Christmas cards!

I often wonder what exactly people are doing for the holidays that they don't send cards, don't write a note of thanks for a gift, don't cook, don't use their china, don't 'bother'?
Then they post "I'm sooooo alone".

I don't send cards, gifts are not exchanged, so no need for a "Thank you" note, I don't make a big meal, regular plates for whatever it is that I do eat, but I might put up a mini X-mas tree.
It's just another day on the calendar.
Just me and my cats.
No need for any head shaking.
I can't even imagine not having any family or friends to share the holidays and other happy times and celebrations with. What a miserable life that must be. This year especially I am so grateful for family and friends, they are really what life is all about in challenging times. They bring so much happiness and joy into one's life.

My life is far from miserable, but thank you for for being so concerned for my wellbeing. 😊💖

And working from home now, I have more time to send them out and put a personal note in each.
That is so true, this year has been such a challenge for so many. I think any gesture of kindness, letting someone know we care, and enclosing a note will have added meaning for many. I will definitely be sending cards.

I send out Christmas cards every year and have for over forty years. I will continue to do it because I really enjoy it. I write a handwritten letter and put it in each one. Yes I still write letters and I write off an on during the year also. I believe letter writing is an art form, good manners should be second nature and dinner should be an event. I send out about thiry five.
