Christmas Card Question

Friday I mailed approximately 50 cards. Seems over the years that number has stayed constant even though the people have changed.

Every few years I wait to receive before I send. That way I feel I'm not mailing to people who really don't want to exchange Christmas or holiday cards.

I have a friend who has eliminated people from her list with whom she is not in touch during the rest of the year.

How do you determine who receives a card from you? Any thoughts? Do you eliminate people over time and for what reason(s)?
