Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger were first spotted sharing a romantic picnic date in June.

And the couple seemed to confirm they relationship was serious as the smitten duo were captured in a passionate kiss on Sunday.

The Guardians Of The Galaxy star, 39, and daughter of action star Arnold Schwarzenegger, 28, only had eyes for each other, engaging in some serious PDA after taking his son Jack to church.

A source speaking to People said the couple were actually set up by Katherine's mom Maria Shriver.

'Maria helped set them up,' the insider said, 'It’s still new.' 

This is Chris's first foray into dating since his split with Anna Faris, which was made public nearly one year ago.  

The couple, who were wed for nine years, share five-year-old son Jack.

As the mother of 3 and the grandmother of 8, I understand children can get confused easily about relationships.

I would have hoped he'd have taken some time before he showed affection (like kissing in public) with someone.  

Come on!  It's nice that people care about each other and find someone.  But to have the little boy standing there, out on the street and he's kissing on her, dollars to donuts he doesn't understand.

Then again, being the child of celebrities he might even be used to it.  You can call me wrong, but I think he should have found a better place and time (if it's as "early" as the article says) and it would be best to save the kissing until it got a little 'older'.

I know the public doesn't really know anything about the relationship.  It could even be a publicity stunt, who knows or cares.

It's always the little children who end up getting hurt.  I wouldn't even comment except everything I read they've always constantly said they only have the best interest of their little boy in mind and want to do what's best for him.

@Annabellethecat66, I agree, and in my opinion I don't think you should introduce your children to the person you are dating until it is a SERIOUS relationship...the kids get attached and the next thing you know, the adults  are no longer dating, confusing for children.

And my mom taught me no PDA (public display of affection)

Assuming she is a pretty and smart young lady, perhaps she should find someone who doesn't come with baggage. Maybe it will last and they will  live happily ever after. I don't have a clue.

I just heard TMZ today talking about the same picture.  They were saying it must be serious because they don't think he'd (Chris) would let his son witness them kissing in public like that were it not serious.

Who knows?  Supposedly, they went to church together right before this (according to TMZ).

I'm all for love and romance and think there should be more of it.  However, I do get upset thinking it's the children who always pay the price when parents get divorced and jump from one partner to another in front of the young child.

I come from a family where just about everyone has been divorced at least 2 times so I know what it can do to children when it gets ugly.  I hope his ex-wife isn't upset about this photo.  I hope more than that, the public doesn't hear that she is upset.  That does no one any good either.  One day the little boy will be reading.
