I saw one of those loose cardigans with chest sizes in the 20s all the way up to the "X" sizes. How in the world is someone supposed to pick their correct size?
This is happening more and more. Either they don't show the sizes at all, or they show them, but each one is different. And it can be in the same show by the same designer.

I agree. I have seen this on several shows... And the vendor nor the host explain how to decipher the odd sizing to what is normally sold. I just do not understand why this would be overlooked.

When they show measurements it's the garment measurement, and since clothing has different fits the numbers won't be the same for all size 4's across the line. Some items are designed to have a looser fit and some closer to the body.

@jaxs mom That does not help the viewer pick a size. At least not me.

Well I do find it helpful, I always look at the garment size when ordering. That way I can choose how I want it to fit.

I'm not sure if this is the problem, but when I've seen tops on ebay with, for example, a 22 inch bust measurement, it's with the garment laid flat.
The seller has measured from armpit seam to seam, and it needs to be doubled. A 22 inch measurement would actually be a 44 inch bust measurement.
Could this be it?

Thank you @Tinkrbl44
I was just going to type that you double that 20" measurement. And IMO it's
laziness on the part of who ever set up that particular garment measurement.

I have found the QVC sizing inconsistent.
One internet company, Boden, has online garment measurements for every garment, including things I like to know such as the exact length of a cardigan.
I miss that on QVC now. In the old days, many of the hosts were very good about covering this info.
