Re: Check your email! QVC Bombs Guarantee Christmas Delivery!

I hope by now that everyone knows there are no Christmas delivery guarantees. Have a back up plan or order earlier.

@hennypennyHopefully you purchased with a credit card, as almost every financial advisor would recommend.

That way your money is not tied up -  but, no, I don't think lots of retailers will be refunding money in time for you to go shopping before Christmas.

And QVC will certainly not be the only retailer caught in the current shipping mess.

I'm always done shopping early. We all know how the Christmas Guarantee works. It does not work!!! One of our Dish Remotes stopped working Mon night so I ordered 1 online. Tracking shows it's suppsed to be delivered tomorrow. We will see.

QVC isn't giving you $10.00.  You are getting a $10.00 credit toward future purchases.  If you don't buy anything, the money stays w/QVC.

I've been a QVC shopper for over 20 years.  I've ALWAYS gotten my QVC Christmas orders on time.  My other orders have also been on time.  I can't remember ever getting the wrong order from QVC.  And, no jewelry from the Q has ever lost a stone.  I'd say QVC has been the best retailer in my long experience!!!  happy-dancing.gif

Re: Check your email! QVC Bombs Guarantee Christmas Delivery!

The snarky remarks "ie: "well that's what you get for waiting until the last minute" - are really unnecessary. QVC, along with other vendors are using empty promises which they know they cannot fulfill to sell more product in a rush towards the end of the holiday buying season. There is no excuse for it and blaming the customers is completely inappropriate. A $10 credit - whoopie. That's $10 towards another item they know you will purchase from their website. They first make money off of the "guaranteed delivery" which isn't actually guaranteed and then upsale you with another item you need to purchase to use that $10 credit. So give me a break with this swan song for retailers please.

Unfortunately, a company can't 'guarantee' a package will arrive by a specific date. I worked at FedEx years ago and we did not guarantee delivery. There was a delivery commitment. Once the package left QVC, and entered the millions of other packages out for delivery, it turned into a c*$p shoot. There are weather issues, planes have problems, machinery breaks down, etc. Realistically, QVC KNOWS there is no guarantee.

If you order something online and don't have it in your hands by Dec 15th, there's ALWAYS the chance it won't be there for Christmas.

Even if it isn't, it's really not the end of the world.

So many things can go wrong from Point A to Point B.

Unless QVC is holding things in process, there is nothing they can about it once it leaves the warehouse.

No one "has" to shop at QVC, either.

So give us all a break with the "it's really all evil, devious QVC's fault" please.
