Check In Please....from this latest winter storm

So far, we are fine.  It is 25 degrees in our area.  We got ice, but didn't lose electricity or water and praying it stays that way.  Have only gone outside with Willow who is definitely not a fan of this cold.  We are supposed to go to a luncheon today, but waiting for a status report from neighbors on NextDoor about the roads.

Hope everyone is safe, but please check in.

@MamaWick , probably best to stay in today if at all possible.  That's what they're telling everyone in my area (MA) to do.

So, stay safe, stay in.  And when feasible toss out some goodies for all the wildlife as everything will be frozen over for awhile.

23 here in East Texas and schools are out again today.  I stayed home yesterday and slept until 10:00!!  I did come into the office at 7:30 this morning and it quiet beyond quiet.

Thank goodness no loss of power ect....

NW Ohio.........Foot of snow, cloudy, 12 deg, wind chill 1, snow emergency at level two.  No power outage, thank God!!  Can't complain.  Plenty to eat, warm house.

Not expecting any more snow for a while.

Here in West Texas the temperature is currently 17. The high is supposed to be 34 today, but drop back to 17 again tonight. We have snow 1-2" on streets and bridges. It is not worth risking going out as there are lots of accidents being reported. Slowing down on slick streets is not happening. Some schools are closed; others are starting with a 2 hour delay. We still have power.

North of Boston here.  I just came in from shoveling about 2" of heavy, wet, slushy snow with pellets on top.  Double the amount at the end of the drive where the plow dumped more.  My arms feel like rubber now.  Currently still sleeting, but power has stayed on so far.  Geez after the blizzard and now this, I wonder if Amazon Prime can deliver one these......  😁

We are up to 20 degrees. Everything is frozen solid for the third day. Maybe we will see a little sunshine late today. I have forgotten what it looks like! Will certainly lift the spirits of everyone. I had a big bag of mixed nuts in the shell that was leftover from a holiday party.....DH and I cracked them open and filled up a jar with them. I put some out this morning and it has been a feeding frenzy!

Re: Check In Please....from this latest winter storm

It was 22 early this morning, but warming up fast in S. central TX. We're up to 32 already. Sun is trying to peek through, so we may get to 40 today, if it does. Hard freeze again tonight, though.

Some power outage's yesterday that lasted for hours on end. Even our major hospital was on generator power, which is very unusual. My area was good.

I feel so bad for the truckers who have been stranded near Kerrville. It's a line as far as you can see. And, they're not expected to be able to move until possibly tomorrow. I've driven that area in the snow before. Thought I'd never survive it. Hope they get out of there soon.

Now off to feed the birds and wildlife that think they're renters here, and that I'm a bad landlady, if service is not good.
