It's only a guess, and I haven't seen the thread in question, but the OP probably said that to preclude the usual, snotty, response of 'then why don't you just change the channel?'.

It's not a snotty answer. If a grown woman can't figure out she can change the channel when there is something on she doesn't like, then she needs to be told.

Re: ""Changing the Channel""

We all know we can change the channel but that doesn't change our opinion of what we saw while it was on. Its VIEWpoints.

Hmm. How do I say this? I don't think weather, news, shopping channels, etc. are meant to be watched around the clock. It's informative broadcasting -- you pick and choose what you want to be informed about. It's not theater. I don't understand detailed critiques on the board regarding hosts or scheduling. There are no Emmys or Oscars here. It's not entertainment - again, it's informative broadcasting. By all means, if something drives you nutty change the channel. If it was a TV show you didn't enjoy, you'd change the channel. When you post constant, negative hoopla about the Q network, you may as well wear a sign that says -- I don't have a life -- I'm not an interesting person -- I have a tendency to be negative and high maintenance. And who wants to give that impression?

Right!!! Why do we need to know every time some run and post every little thing that they find annoying or don't like. Who cares???!!! Call a friend to tell them but why post unless the whole point is to get their fun from seeing others post even worse things about whatever they are whining about but it usually ends up with many more finding such posts repetitive, disgusting and unnecessary.

Well the impression your post made is not a pretty one.

First, you assume that those who find fault with a host watch the Q nonstop. They don't. Some watch very little but would like to see certain presentations of items that they may wish to purchase.

Secondly, you made the mistake of saying that it's informative broadcasting which is exactly where my complaint lies. It's not informative broadcasting which is what I want. It's brainless hosts who must feel they and their lives are more interesting than the products they were hired to sell so instead of informing on fabric, colors, etc. they perform.

So why you would open, much less read and post, what you say no one cares to read?

Sorry, spin it which ever way you like, but it's still a snotty answer.

You have to say "I changed the channel" because if you don't, someone will tell you to "change the channel!!!"

No, it isn't. Now you calling a post "snotty" is snotty.
