I did not wear jeans until I retired, and a friend told me, I would look thinner if I got the right fit. She was right. Wear them all the time.................much less money spent on dry cleaning.

Me too! Right down to the eyelash extensions.
I've become very proficient at shading and contouring my eyes. I wear more makeup but it is BETTER makeup than before. My skin is better than when I was younger, so I don't have to cover much. I play up my good points and it makes me feel great!
I am comfortable with my fashion style and because I no longer have to march to the corporate drum every day, I can be more adventurous.
I've always been a fearless eater-will try anything. That hasn't changed. I just eat less at a sitting.

Omg... so many things.
I could be the poster girl for d&co elastic waist pants.
No one knows.
No one cares.
I frequently get compliments on my outfits.
As a young person, I was a chocoholic - now it turns me off completely.
For most of my life I thought eating out was a delight, not so much anymore. I like to know what's in my food and who prepared it.
Shoes are another thing. If they're not comfortable, I have no use for them. There is such a thing as a stylish comfortable shoe, but they're hard to find.
And I stopped apologizing for being an introvert and a homebody. I attend those gatherings that I feel are essential or enjoyable, and anything that doesn't gets a polite rejection.
There are so many other things... I could go on and on, but I'll stop here.
Great question, OP, thanks for posting it.

Never wore makeup or hi lighted my hair and now won't leave the house without makeup and I always hi light my hair. Always had waist length hair, was a long haired person until the day I died told everyone. Now hair is short, is hi lighted and I love it. Am no longer afraid to be feminine - no longer feel it's a sign of weakness.

Yes, I have definitely changed in many ways thru the years. As a child, I absolutely hated my auburn hair, but made peace with it in my 20's. Now that I'm 60, my goal is to keep my hair red for as long as I have hair.
My 20's and 30's, were spent worrying about trying to keep my house spotless---I lowered my standards after age 40, and love the relaxed attitude I have now.
I have adopted a more simplistic style with everything as I've aged; decorating style, personal possessions, and what I actually need in this life. My home is filled with the color red now; a color I was always steered away from as a child.
I readily see that even my feet have changed, and realized I'd rather have 2 pair of comfy shoes that make my feet feel good, than have a room full of pretty shoes that make my feet hurt.
Food allergies have always been a challenge, but I finally realized the secret to not suffering was to only eat my own cooking, and stick to my go to foods if I have to eat out.
My biggest changes came after getting my life back after knee replacement; finding peace in my choices, my lifestyle, not sweating the small stuff, and doing my best to live drama free.

I enjoyed your post very much. ![]()
In the past five years I've grown to love the color red too, so much so that I painted my living room a beautiful colonial red and had the entire room redecorated because of it.
Every possible purse accessory is red, phone, wallet, cosmetic bag, etc. is red also. ![]()

My complexion has changed so I do look better in different colors than previously.

I certainly do! I think it's like our skin cells completely turning over every 7 years, my taste changes right along with them!😉

My decor isn't country anymore..it's now more traditional. Clothing....I wear more neutrals and fewer pastels. I often find myself wearing the same silhouette in clothing. My body type really hasn't changed all that much....just an older version of me.

@esmeraldagooch Exactly! The older you get, you realize that you can not take it with you... I am going through stuff that I also collected.... and now just see no interest in. I guess that is why so much ends up at the goodwill stores... people die and no one going throught the STUFF has an interest in it. It does not have a great monutary value, but, it has value in just being something that someone else will see as something they love. The great thing about thrift stores is that there is always someone that DOES have an interest in it and so it will continue on! When I donate stuff, I alway see it at moving on to a new life. It is a good thing.
