Disappointed in local Target since they put in self-check.  Many times they have no checkers or only one checkstand open.  They have someone standing nearby to urge you to self-check.   (Pretty much the same at local Safeway store.)  I dislike this.

They closed the two Target stores closest to me so I don't shop there any more. I used to like shopping there. Seemed it was always clean and organized.

@SilleeMee - I hadn't heard that Target was closing stores - interesting.

I think there has been a big shift here on where retail stores are located. Even though some stores close, they open new ones in different parts of town...unfortunately those places are too far for me to drive. @hoosieroriginal

What *seems* to be happening is a movement away from nothing but large stores that are all alike and offer everything, to fewer large stores but adding specialty smaller stores,  also.

I don't like self checkout, so I don't use.

If I wanted to be a cashier, I would apply at a store that is hiring.

Disappointed in Target. Quality of the jewelry and clothing has gone way down as prices on everything have increased. Once in a great while I will find something on dot com and order with my red card for delivery to my home. Bought a couple of cute and good quality summer throw pillows for my LR over a year ago. I do not find Target to be a good value nor competitive price-wise.

I hope they don't change Target too much. It's my favorite store of that type. I'm not a fan of Walmart.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

Haven't noticed any changes but I rarely go in there.  We have a large Target but every single time I've gone in in the 6 years we've lived here I've had an unpleasant experience in the store... mainly due to employees who don't know the merchandise, don't care to learn, not efficient at the registers or not at the registers at all.  I realize that is a local employee/management problem.

My last trip was regarding a small crock pot that was on sale and it didn't come up at the sale price and there was no one available to go check the pricing.  So I walked back to the shelf and pulled off their signage (I was mad) and took it back up to the register myself.  THEN I had to go to their service desk to get the adjustment.... but there was NO ONE there and I had to wait another 15 minutes while they called for someone.

Nope... not going back.  That was it.  Woman Frustrated

And I can understand why some of these B & Ms are going out of business.

Their clothes don't fit me, so I only stop in at Target when I need a few groceries.    Haven't noticed any "changes" lately............

I don't like Target for the following reasons:

* Different prices at stores for the same item.

* Can't find the price of an item beyond their store.

* Will not price match an item from another TARGET store (see the first thing I mentioned).

*Will not match in store price to online price for SAME merchandise.

*Not enough cashiers during peak times/holidays

Too many negatives to give them my money.

We just do not go to Target. Not worth the long drive. However, I think they (Target) are trying to become more like Walmart with more grocery items.
