Certifect

Has anyone tried this new flea and tick medicine? The vet we go to has discontinued Frontline Plus in favor of Certifect. We have a pug with acquired liver shunts and I am hestitant to use anything that will possibly compromise him more than I need to. My feelings is that Certifect has not been on the market long enough, and yes, flea and tick preventative is necessary.
