I have no issue with it at all. It only takes a few minutes.

I don't mind filling out a simple form. I remember the one we got in the 70's was a long form, and you had to provide all kinds of details. One question was how many bathrooms you had, so my grandpa said two because he had one in his farmhouse and still had an outhouse. I don't think that is what they meant.

A little off topic, but a married couple I know worked the door to door census in 2010. They are very nice people and have done many different things to volunteer in their community, including historical research of early Seattle. To the best of my knowledge, they were not met with any resistance, just people who put things off far too long. Thank heavens neither were threatened or treated with rudeness or worse. He's gone now, diagnosed that same year with a glioma in his brain. He said that he and his wife enjoyed getting to meet people within their community while doing the census. Little did he know that he would not be around for the next census.

All I was/am saying/thinking is: Everyone should fill out the same form. I'd like to see a shorter 'long form'. Seems to me that the financial allotments would be more accurate, more fair. I guess that I'm 'old school' and that's just the way I've been educated to think. (lol)

Has everyone already received their forms?

None here.

They don't go out to every household.

Thank you.

I know no one that has received one. I wondered whether they are still sending them out.

I thought the census was taken every ten years - the last one in 2010?

It's some type of Census 'test'. I guess they might want to get various folks' input? Or whatever.

naturalfan, It's a "census test" -- see Posts #57 and #58.

lulu2, You're welcome. I think this thread is interesting. It prompted me to do some internet searches to try and learn more about the census.
