Nope. I never give out my email or cell phone # to anyone except those that I know.

Have you recently received an email from the Census Bureau asking you to complete a survey that consists of two questions?  Is this for real?

Thanks for your response....I'm not sure if this should be opened or trashed.

You can contact the U.S. Census Bureau.  They will let upi know if the survey is legitimate.  If it is not they want to know if a scammer is out there.

Census Bureau Contacts

Call Center: 301-763-INFO (4636) or 800-923-8282 or ask. census. gov

TDD: TTY users can dial 1-800-877-8339 to use the Federal Relay Service

@Kalli    The Census is not just a once-every-ten-years thing.  They are constantly seeking various types of information, so yes, it is probably legit.  You should be able to tell by examining it.

Well, if I get one, it will be ignored. Don't trust them one bit.

Yeah, scammers are hot to get information about your covid 19 experiences.

@ThinkingOutLoud    This could very well have something to do with the allocation of supplies and equipment like vaccine and test kits in your community.  Why wouldn't you trust the US Census Bureau?

The reason for the census is to allocate reps for Congress - not medical supplies. As to your question - I'll leave that alone so the thread isn't poofed.

Household Surveys are also conducted between the official Census count.

The information collected is used by dozens of federal agencies.

The Census Bureau does much, much more than the dicennial count for Congressional reapportionment.

If you don't want to participate in a Household Survey, don't.

They do much more than just count the population every 10 years.
