That is sad and seems horrible.  I feel bad for Celine.

I wonder if her emaciated look has anything to do with this disease?

if there's a cure she will be able to afford.

She can afford hired help, best treatments, etc.

@meallen616you are such a gracious and thoughtful person.  Every since my son sent me the text about it, I have had her on my mind.  I have every single English Album she has put out (except maybe one).  I have a playlist on my computer and on Youtube.  She is hands down, one of the greatest female vocalists of our time and I hope her treatments will at least allow her to sing again, but not have to travel or do residencies.

I saw a doctor on the news this evening who said she would be getting infusions that should help knock out the bad antibodies that cause most of the damage of the condition.I think it is an autoimmune disorder. He sounded rather uobeat, which surprised me. It impacts the muscles, including the ones that control the vocal cords. I pray the treatments bring her back to her best health.

Her voice is over 1 in a billion.  She fortunately/unfortunately hits some of the rare things in this life.  There is ying and yang, sorrow and joy, highs and lows.  I know she will have the strength to overcome whatever the future holds.
