Things could get crazy: Five couples are ready to take Wife Swap to the next level with a special Celebrity Wife Swap series, premiering Jan. 3 on ABC, reports USA TODAY's Gary Levin.

In the new series, the mothers in two celebrity families will switch homes (but not bedrooms!) to see how other star families raise their kids and cope with life in the spotlight.

The featured swappers (airdates to be announced at a later date):

• Gary Busey and Ted Haggard

• Tracey Gold and Carnie Wilson

• Flavor Flav and Dee Snider

• Mick Foley (professional wrestler) and Antonio Sabato Jr.

• Niecy Nash and Tina Yothers
