@CANDLEQUEEN You reminded me (on two counts) of another celeb encounter...I met Magic Johnson too, back in the early 80's at around age 25.

I was performing that year in a traveling showband...played hotel lounges, clubs etc.

4 girls fronted a band of 4 guys, singing, dancing. We were in Lansing Michigan, at what was The Playboy club then...one of the most fun venues we played, and the people of Michigan were so friendly and appreciative of us.

Also was so fun chatting with the Playboy bunnies backstage...behind the scenes these were just "gals" waitressing...making a living....and those bunny outfits, pretty but the corset bodice, hard as a rock!! They taught us the "bunny dip"...ie. how you properly serve a drink at the table.

Anyway, the other girls were all "a buzz" because "Magic Johnson" was there!! I was like "Who's Magic Johnson?!" (I clearly wasn't a "sports gal")...they couldn't believe I didn't know who he was and filled me in. Anyway, he came over and talked with all of us and took pics with each of us and signed them....I still have it. He was very friendly and sweet. I'm 5'1" and petite, weighed all of 98 lbs then!....he bent down to hug me for the photo, I put my arms around his waist, which was practically where I came up to on him!! I never forgot, it felt like I was putting my arms around an Oak tree!!

Anyway, a fun, cute moment to remember, a great photo. He has a smile and spirit that lights up any room. I'm so glad he's made it, with his health issues, and, all these years later, is still around.

@JFD12 - I love Tom Brady & find that I don’t enjoy football as much since his retirement. He is a class act. It’s a treat when he’s on the booth but it just isn’t the same.
