Question .. for fun! I read about this topic recently elsewhere ... who is a celebrity that you met somewhere ... talked to, conversed with. Were they nice? What did you think of them? I guess my first thought was... Forest Whitaker. He was married to my sister's friend. My sister went to school with Forest's wife.

There was an event in Boston many, many years ago ... and we were invited to this event for Forest and his wife. He was so very normal. It was right after he won his Oscar for The Last King of Scotland. A hugely normal person, did not drink ... while all of us crazy girls did! lol! Such a nice, nice person, he was!!!

I have a couple but the best was the cast of Hill Street Blues were in Colorado skiing the same time I was.  I had an oopsie on the slope and they came over to assist me up and they were extremely nice.  It was Charles Haiid, Betty Thomas , James B Sikking and one more that I can't remember... I saw them often the rest of the day and they were just as nice and we chatted.  Never asked for an autograph.  Just idle chit chat.

Hi, @JFD12 !  I used to live in Huntington Beach, CA and often traveled for business and sometimes out of LAX.  One time Tom Skerritt asked me if the plane was on time or if they started boarding (don't remember).  Another time I saw but didn't speak to Sara Gilbert during the Roseanne days.  Not exciting but it was enough for me.  LOL

@Seminole2  I have never watched Hill Street Blues but I know my husband did. I do not know the cast ... but hubby loved that show! 🤗

My son has met quite a few Sports figures.

The one that sticks out in my mind. Probably because I was there. Was when we attended a Sportswriters Banquet honoring several sports figures.

My son walked up to George Forman and asked for his autograph. We were all standing around in a lobby. So there wasn't a good place to sign an autograph. George Forman took my son to a room off of the lobby and found a table. He gave my son a "sweet" autograph. And he chatted with my son briefly. 

I was so impressed that he took the time to make sure my son got a nice autograph. AND he signed the autograph  "To My Buddy, Tim".

I met Jill Whelan, who played Vicki on The Love Boat. We had a mutual friend. She was nice and very unpretentious. I believe she moved to another state a while ago.

About 25 years I met Jamie Lee Curtis at a book signing at the Barnes & Noble I was working at. She wasn't very nice to the employees, but when she went out to read to the kids she was charming and funny. I guess that's why they're called actors.

  Disappointing, since I always liked her work. Not impressed. Maybe she was having a bad day.

When I was very young about 11, I met Raymond Burr. He was very kind to a little kid. 

I met John Saxton when I was in high school  He was doing a play. Also very nice. 

In college my husband was a radio DJ and was doing political interviews for the election season. Robert Redford wanted him to interview him because he wanted to stop the widening of a road going to Sundance. This was 55 years ago. He was into conservation even back then. The poor guy. All the women at the station and I went to see him . He was very nice about it. And man, did he look good.
