My mom loves this show. She would agree with whoever said that it doesn't follow the book very closely.

I tried to watch the show but it did not hold my interest, very predictable story line.

The story line doesn't follow the books at times. However, the scenery is beautiful, and it's something I look forward to watching. There is a lot of trash on tv, and this is definitely ok.

This is why SOME people (ME) still love radio drama. Like books, radio drama gives you the opportunity to "design" the visuals within the creativity of your mind.
