human nature makes us think WE ARE SO DARN IMPORTANT
. ....when in reality we are not important at all.
Like we control the planet Earth 😄😄😄😄😄......4.54 billion years old, with an error range of 50 million years.
Man only 200,000 years on the planet.... easily a blink in time .....here one minute and gone the next in Earth time.
This insistence that nobody knows and that people are just willy-nilly blaming our crisis on something rather than thinking that it is out of our hands -- Where do you and some others come up with this analysis? We are important. We are the stewards of our planet. We have the responsibility to heed FACTS and not just throw up our hands.
Do we approach disease like that? Do we say, oh, well, we can't control it? It's been here forever and we're just a flash in the pan?
There is no dearth of news, research, and facts about climate change. It would behoove us all to start paying attention.

There is not doubt whatsoever that humans have adversely affected the climate, as well as the ecosystem of plants and animals.
I appreciate your input, but I am looking at a large picture in my mind. I see little children being taught that we are destroying the planet. I don't like it. It is overkill.

@SahmIam wrote:This is not a subject I am well versed in other than reading and watching reports here and there. Years ago, I thought the "save the whales" or "save the planet" was simply a way to get people to do something because if you said what you REALLY meant, no one would bother. "Save the humans". Yeah, nobody cares about that.
The few discussions I've sat in on regarding the planet and the changes we see year to year, decade to decade have always been presented as simply what the planet is supposed to do. To think humans, flora and fauna as we know it now is how it should always be is, well, arrogant on our part. The planet will be FINE. WE, will not be. WE will be gone.Different forms of life will develop and well, that's that. Things evolve. We may not like it but that's the way it goes.
Are our behaviors pushing things along faster than necessary? I think so. As I said, this is not something I am well versed in; simply passing on what those who are have said to me/to others in thoughtful discussion.
I so appreciate your response. It is great food for thought.

Which one has the heavier hand in it all, is the big debate.
Neither side as all the answers, and like most things, the truth lies somewhere in the middle.
I appreciate your thoughts. My prob with them is that, while I truly believe humans generate too much trash, I think there are galactic influences, as well as core earth energies, that are impacting us beyond our comprehension.

Having said that, I think that we often spin our wheels over relatively insignificant aspects of climate change. It's macro we have to look at if we're truly going to make a dent in this inexorable path to unfathomable changes that our descendants will face.
And that means that without the dedication from TPTB, we will not get there.
Well said, and remember when there was a great revolt against overpackaging of consumer products? That not only got lost, but now products are overpackaged to a ridiculous point.

I appreciate your thoughts, but I need to re-read them, as they are worthy of respect, but a bit overwhelming for me to digest.
One thing I am taking immediate issue with is that we are all human radiators. When weather temperatures drop or rise significantly, we are at their mercy.

@Ms tyrion2 , I am talking about the evolutionary impact of all the components that affect it.

@SilleeMee , I had some affluent clients who put all kinds of solar panels and other stuff on their roof in Orlando, FL years ago. The stuff rotted their roof and ended up in a heap in a far corner of their yard.

I have conserved and re-purposed all my life. It is a natural instinct for me to take care of this earth, which is my beloved home.
