Yes I have had successful cataract surgery both eyes. I hadsome blurriness due to edema and a bleed in one of my eyes. I also have dry eye diagnosis and this can cause blurriness. My Dr. perscribed a salt solution for the edema and we just had to wait for the blood to absorb. All this cleared and I have 20/20 vision in both eyes. Do you see your Dr. for a recheck soon. If not call and tell them your symptoms and they can explain it to you or see you in the office.

I hope you've also contacted your doctor's office, since they know all the details of the procedure they performed, as well as the condition of your eyes. HTH.

I agree with @Krimpette, you should call your Dr. since he knows your particular case, everyone is different.
I also had cataract surgery quite a few years ago, both eyes, and the day of surgery it felt like I had a tiny grain of sand in my eye, which was gone by the next day.
I had no blurriness at all the day after surgery, but my eyes were much more sensitive to light.

i had cateract surg many years ago when i was in my 50's.
am doing fine. i did very blurred vision and had to have a follow up lazer surgery to correct that blurred vision. it is simple procedure, you sit in a chair and a lazer beam is focused on eye and cuts away the remaining problem area. had to have that done on both eyes. it was a 15 min procedure. i had a medical eye doctor do it, he is an MD and opthomologist. he is a brillant physician. he has dual degrees.
do hope all will settle down. I had all my eye problems back in the early 2000's. it takes time for all to settle down.

An Ophthalmologist IS an MD. First, he is an MD - then he chooses a Specialty. He chose Ophthalmology. ALL specialists are general doctors first. Then, they decide if they want to be a family medicine doctor OR go into a specialty.
An Ophthalmologist can write a Rx for anything - antibiotic, Valium, cough syrup, etc....He is an MD first and foremost.

@Sooner.....had mine done a very long time ago. Don't remember if I had floaters or not.....but did have flashing white lights. That was due to glaucoma.... which I do have and take drops to control that. Yes, I did have the blurred vision, but with time and drops that soon quit. There were a couple of times when I felt like I had something in my eyes.....each one..... They were stitches that he snipped off when I went in to have it checked out. A lot of improvements have been made to this kind of surgery.....and is much easier on the patient.

@crazered You should contact the doctor that did the surgery as soon as possible.. Your vision after the surgery should be as good as new. My vision was fine after I had the surgery last JAN and FEB.. Contact your doctors ASAP, sounds like the lens is not positioned or something is wrong with it.... Good luck and I hope your vision gets back to normal....
