Got my surgery bumped up 2 weeks. Gonna have it on Monday morning May 16th. Just called to get my mother-in-law an appointment, so she will hopefully have this much needed surgery. She is 86 years old, but still works every weekend at a local big grocery chain.

She has learned how to work every new electronic thing I've given her, and I also taught her how to use a computer pretty darned well. But when it comes to doctors? Haven't had much luck. Her is a very healthy lade of 86 that has never, ever been admitted into a hospital. Thus, having anything done to her is not the easiest thing for me to do.

She's seen how successful and how painless my Left Eye cataract surgery went for me, so I was able to help convince her to make an appointment with my doctor. Her appointment is May 17th, the day after my upcoming surgery. That worked out well, because my doctor does a followup visit the day after cataract surgery, so I will be there also. Maybe I can help the doctor getting her to have this taken care of soon.

She wears glasses/bifocals for driving and reading. They seem to work for her, but she cannot see at night at all, so does not drive at all after sundown. If she has surgery and it works as well as mine, she will be so happy to "see the things" she does not know she is missing seeing right now. The colors for me are now so much more colorful and vivid, I still am amazed myself. And I still find myself reaching for my reading glasses at times, although I no longer need them to read even the very small print.

Just an update and no replies are necessary unless you just want to talk with me or have any questions I might be able to answer.

My best to everyone here,
