Unfortunately I share my office with my cats and their litterbox . What type of litter tracks the least? I prefer normal littler due to the fact that I use those sifting liners. If I have to change I will. I cannot take the litter everywhere .....any suggestions or solutions?

Re: Cat litter tracking problem

I have three cats, and I sweep up litter every day.

I keep the box in the tub in the spare bathroom. I keep a rug outside the tub. Those little cats jump out with litter in their paws, then they run as fast as they can to spread it throughout the house. If there's a solution, I don't know it.

Re: Cat litter tracking problem

My 18 year old cat likes to get under the blankets and sleep in bed during the day.

Just this morning I noticed the TINY little particles of littler he brings with him!

To get from his box to the bed he has to go over a rug downstairs, go up a carpeted staircase, walk on two more rugs before he jumps in bed.

That litter just STICKS!

Re: Cat litter tracking problem

All litter seems to track. I also sweep daily and I have a special mat that is supposed to catch the litter, but I have over enthusiastic kitties who love to cover their poo!! That litter just flies all over the place. I've tried a covered box, but they do not care for it.

Re: Cat litter tracking problem

The litter I've seen that tracks least is Nature's Miracle Intense Defense Odor Control. And it's very fine, so sifting shouldn't be a problem. No dust, clumps well, good odor control. Almost no tracking.

I got it from amazon when it was a "prime" item. Now there's shipping, so I've moved to Precious Cat Ultra Premium Multi-Cat litter. As good as the other, but not quite as fine. But that other stuff is almost as fine as sand. I've never used a sifting liner, but I think the Precious Cat would work there.

Even if you don't want to buy at amazon, you can read reviews of various litters there.

Over in Pets or Home, there are a couple of litter discussions. Check them out.
