@10sluvr Thank you for sharing your experience.  I feel better knowing someone who dealt with them.  It was my son's vehicle and he LOVED it.  He passed 1.5 year ago under horrible circumstances.  I couldn't even sit in it without breaking up.  I don't want to have to deal with private buyers.  Don't want it sitting thru another winter either.  I had to put $2,000 in it because a mouse get under the hood and chewed up the wires.  It's breaking my heart but so is seeing it sitting in my driveway.  It's a beautiful car.  Never saw a winter ... he lived in Arizona.  It was all i had left of him.  Smiley Sad

@rms1954  So sorry about your son - that's heartbreaking.  I totally get it about the car.  My husband loved his Cadillac and I hated to sell it.  But it was older and getting older every year.  It was in great shape.  I was kind of saving it for my grandson but ultimatley decided he'd be better with something newer and safer.  And please don't think your son's car was all you had left of him.  He'll always be with you.  (((HUGS)))

I just wish I could have saved him.  I'll never forgive myself for that.  I should have known some how or some way; after all, he was my child.  It's just been a very difficult time and I get so depressed and sad and feel like I'm stuck in this dark black hole and I'll never see a way out ... until I can be with him again.

Sorry, didn't mean to go on and on about it.

@rms1954   I am so sorry.  I'm sure that he would not want you to blame yourself.

@rms1954 I am so sorry. Heart

And thank you for posting this. I had no idea this was an option.

I have an old manual transmission car that I honestly would rather not fool with when I buy a new car that's coming sooner rather than later. I figured no one would want it and I would have to junk it.

I sold private once and I don't ever want to go through that again. I love learning stuff like this.
