Our beautiful Avi will be 17 years old next month.

According to our vet, she's in amazing shape for her age. She's active, alert, and has no serious health problems that we know of. A little arthritis, but she still prefers to jump up on the sofa and chairs, even though I got pet stairs for her. She just avoids them.

I'm wondering if there are things I could or should be doing for her because of her advanced age?

She doesn't eat much, but her breed is small, anyway. The vet said we should leave her on regular food because Senior food is reduced fat and she doesn't need that. She developed a bad allergy to Costco rotisserie chicken, which she used to love, and which tempted her to eat.

She LOVES getting a very gentle back rub.

She's reacted positively to our getting a 3 month old kitten, now 7 months old.

Is there anything else we can be doing for Avi?
