From comparisons to classical music (not even close) to wasting time responding if one does not like Cardi B to the "obscene" Louie Louie to ymmv-etc.

And btw:  ymmv-I use it quite often as in jmoymmv.

It simply means your experience may be different or your opinion may be different as far as posting.

If a male rapper sang those lyrics-yeah, what a difference that would make.

Some defenses here are loud and clear.

The fact remains the lyrics to Louie Louie are not obscene, never were, and I am amused that the old myth about the song is still alive.

The lyrics to Cardi B's song are explicit and leave nothing to the imagination.

The hysteria over the lyrics to Louie Louie, which I also remember very well, were based on nothing more than some moralistic interpretation of a song that had nothing to do with sex or anything else "offensive".

It is a simple song about a sailor heading home to his loved one.

The comparison makes no sense.
