Getting upset about raunchy rap is no different than choosing to listen to classical music and getting shocked and upset when you hear the bassoons playing. What did you expect? And if you don't even listen to it, why would you care about it.
Remember you guys, you can't control anyone. And you most certainly cannot control Ms.Cardii B.
So are you saying we should expect rap to be automatically disgusting? If so, why?
I didn't see any posts describing the wish to controlCardii B.
[Edited to spare sensibilities.] Your perspective may differ from mine, but I don't find "raunchy" rap disgusting. And I do see controlling wishes here that Cardi B behave differently to better suit the tastes of the posters. Even though those posters do not enjoy rap and are not her audience and by their own admission barely even know who she is.

I saw an interview or something on TV where she was speaking & I couldn't understand half of what she was saying. I guess my old ears are not tuned into her speech mannerisms or something.

Your mileage may vary, but I don't find raunchiness disgusting. It's just an aspect of a certain part of my married life. Well I find her raunchiness to be incredibly disgusting. And I still don't see any posts about people wanting to control what Cardi B does, only that they either don't care for her "entertainment" or they don't know her.

I think they wanted different things out of marriage. It will be better with Cardi on her own.

"Your mileage may vary"...what in the world does that even mean in this context???
You make a lot of unfounded assumptions re: "controlling wishes".
Personally I don't care about it "being an aspect of a certain part of your married life" either, TMI.
Before long, it will be Cardi who??
Lizzo, Megan Thee Stallion, Nicki Minaj and others have surpassed Cardi B, unless you're more intererested in her political stance than her actual musical talent.
Make sure you play this lovely song to all of your young female family members, it's so empowering.

For me, the word "raunchiness" says it all and "part of my marriage" is too much information! 😯
I'm old school and was taught to be modest, a quality some young women don't seem to possess nowadays.

It's a reference to the ages of the posters.

Don't want an answer? Don't ask the question. Especially not a leading, somewhat insulting one such as Ladybug's claim I found all rap disgusting which I do not.
Your mileage may vary does not mean the "experience" of the poster or her age. It's just a common saying without any insult attached to it. But if you enjoy feeling offended, please don't let me stop you. Assume anything you want about it.
Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's hit song is currently number one on the Billboard Hot 100, even above BTS (a Korean band I am also aware of though I am not as young as you ladies seem to assume). So they are doing something right when it comes to their audience. Which, again, is not most of us.
I really do not need to be Cardi B's forum representative or defender. I don't care whether anyone else likes her music or not. Mine is only one vote in a sea of differing opinion.

Why so hostile? I thought from the context it meant age. With your explanation, I still don't know what "your mileage may vary" means?
So how could I find it offensive? As far as being a common saying...for whom and where?
