Re: Car Chase Southern California

When I was watching part of the chase, the newscasters were uncertain if a child was also in the van with the thief.

Has anyone heard if that is true/false?

And with these high-speed chases, there's always a helicopter overhead.

Where do these idiots think they're going?

Unless they can suddenly turn invisible, they've no chance whatsoever of escaping.

@Tinkrbl44 Actually they do escape sometimes.  They also get shot sometimes or die in a rollover!

@Sooner

When a car is speeding down the freeway with a helicopter overhead, I've never seen the driver get away.

Other police cars are in the area they're approaching, waiting for them.  Spike strips are used, and police shoot out their tires.  Sometimes the police ram the car.

I suppose it's possible they might escape, but very unlikely.

Re: Car Chase Southern California

How sad that tax payer dollars were spent following that foolish woman who by the way is the daughter of the woman who owns the mini van.

The driver, identified as 29-year-old Alyssa Wilson of Simi Valley. Officials said the driver was having a mental health crisis and took the minivan from her mother, who called CHP.
