Initially I was concerned because I had just upgraded to a new credit card in June.
Their updated FAQs indicated that the actual "hacking" occurred on March 22 and March 23.
I was slightly relieved, but still went through the necessary security, alert and monitoring safeguards.
It appears that by this time mailings would have been sent and received for those directly impacted. Capital One says
We are directly notifying by mail the U.S. individuals whose Social Security numbers or linked bank account numbers were accessed. We are directly notifying all Canadian customers affected.
Hopefully, if you haven't received this notice your SSN was not compromised.
