I am looking for a little reassurance. My daughter is watching our little Shih Tzu rescue while we are away. She called me two nights ago to let me know that he is constipated. This has never happened to him in the time that he has lived with us. I asked her to make certain that he was getting adequate exercise and plenty of water. Two days later, he still has an issue. I couldn't sleep at all last night for worry about him. He has been part of our lives for just under a year and was on death row in Alabama when he was rescued. This is the first time that we have been away from him. I Googled a couple of 'home remedies' and called her late last night and told her to try 1/2 tsp Metamucil mixed in with either broth or a bit of canned food. I just tried contacting her and she must be at work as she didn't answer my call. I am so concerned and can hardly wait to get out of Orlando. Just need to talk to someone about this. ~~Thank you.
