Canine Pancreatitis

My husband and I have one child, he is a 5 year old yellow lab. We found out just awhile ago that he may have pancreatitis. Yesterday my husband fed him fatty steak scraps. Then last night he was very restless. He has vomited 4 times today so my husband decided to take him to the vet (I am at home sick). His blood levels were VERY high, one test in particular was supposed to be in the lower 100s and his was in the upper 500s. The vet mentioned for him to stay the night but since there is no one in the clinic overnight and our boy is used to us and being the center of our attention, we decided to bring him home to be with us tonight and take him back as soon as they open in the morning (the vet was fine with this). They want to monitor him tomorrow. They did do a test that will not be back until 2 days or so that will give us a definitive answer.

Please if anyone has any similar experiences, share. Also please say a prayer for our baby tonight. Thank you SO much! He means so much to us. We don't go anywhere without him, he even goes to work with my husband.
