Thank you Lion for saying i am a favorite postrer of yours and thank you to ALL for replying with messages, prayers and good wishes.
DH is much better. In fact the sight in his eye has returned already, that he looked outside and said omg look at the vibrant flowers (and said he can see better out of the eye that was fixed, than his other eye!)
Now keep in mind this is WITH glasses on, not without his glasses! So yes he will still need glasses!
Now I get the whole cornea transplant info since speaking to the Dr again (which I did not fully understand before).
His eye disease was making fluid lay in his eye at night, thus he couldnt see in the day time. *That we knew*
The cornea transplant he had is a newer kind and the way they explain it is it was the choice for "his eye disease", and he had just the back of the cornea replaced (which was donated by a deceased person), then that keeps his eye from filling up with that fluid. So it is more or less a 1/2 cornea I assume.
This new way is less recovery time (much less because he is already seeing in days!) than the traditional cornea transplants. But as I said he will still need glasses (where as people with traditional transplants may not need glasses). But that doesnt matter because we are just greatful for the transplant donor and that he will see again!
Now alot of times the person wants the other eye done when they see how good they can see out of the transplant eye. BUT DH said he doesnt intend to get the other eye fixed unless that one starts to go blind too. (Of course he may change his mind once fully recouperated from this surgery).
The biggest hurdle has been stopping DH from trying to do things he cant yet! lol. When he was finished having to lay flat (Thursday afternoon) he thought he can go do all kinds of outdoor lawn work! (noo!).
So I called the eye surgeons office today, and they said no heavy duty type work around the house or lifting or anything for 2 weeks. He is ONLY allowed to do light type things. He CAN drive this weekend or Monday as long as his he can see good with his glasses on.
I hope I explained it all well, Its hard to decifer what Drs say sometimes!. lol.
But he is doing very well and is very pleased with his surgery! And again we are so thankful for the person who donated their cornea so my husband can see again!
Thank you again for the messages.

@Shorty2U Thank you for the update. I've been wondering about you and Mr. Shorty.
I suggest to everyone who joined in prayer for this outcome to pray again. It is time for us to say a sincere Thank You and also ask blessings and comfort for the family of the donor.
Shorty2U, good luck in keeping Mr. Shorty in line with the doctor's orders to take it easy. "It's hard to keep a good man down." ![]()

Thanks for your update on your DHs cornea transplant surgery. Great news. I am happy to hear it was successful and his recovery is going so well with much better eyesight. I know how hard it is to keep these guys down, so hope you can convince him to follow doctor's orders. Good luck!
My DH had surgery for a detached retina a few years ago and had to keep his head down in a "donut" for over three days 24 hours a day except to eat and use the bathroom. The fourth day he didn't have to use the donut and thought he could do everything he missed for several days. No, that wasn't the case.
But convincing him to take it easy was difficult. Men!!! All ended well for him too.
Take care and ((((hugs)))) to both of you. Blessings.
